MKS PAMP SA Sustainability Report FY 2024

Dear Reader,

I am pleased to share with you our Sustainability Report for the Financial Year 2024—an important reflection of the dedication and leadership of my predecessor, Marwan Shakarchi, and the entire MKS PAMP team to ESG. This report underscores how deeply ESG has become embedded in our identity and operations over the past 15 years, forming a strong foundation for the company’s future. As MKS PAMP’s CEO, I am committed to building upon this legacy to drive continued progress and impact.

Read MKS PAMP SA’s Sustainability Report:

Since 2023, we have voluntarily engaged PwC for third-party assurance and, this year, have taken a further step by expanding the scope of our assured topics to include supplier environmental and social assessments.

In FY24, the progress in embedding ESG in our decision-making continued. Highlights include:

  • Environmental: installing rooftop solar panels at our Ticino refinery, supplying 5% of its energy needs, and reducing the emissions intensity of mined gold sources by 6.75%. Significant progress toward our SBTi targets for 2030. As of February 2024 we have increased our absolute scope 3 GHG reduction commitment to 30%, up from the initial 27.5%.

  • Social responsibility: active participation in creative and impactful partnerships with local communities, including food distribution for local food banks and educational programs.

  • Supply chain engagement and accountability: expansion of our Provenance™ traceability solution and enhanced ESG criteria within supplier assessments.

  • Governance: implementation of the MKS PAMP GROUP ESG Policy, fostering a culture of mindfulness and accountability across all entities within the Group, including MKS PAMP SA.

Looking forward, I am excited to continue to drive our delivery against our ESG commitments. Sustainability is at the heart of MKS PAMP’s mission, and I look forward to working together with our partners to shape a responsible and resilient future for the precious metals industry.

Best regards,

James Emmett
CEO, MKS PAMP SA
